there is a bunch of new stuff coming in this week and next at paper tales and i will try to post as often as i can. 

for those of you who have been very patient custom papers for east detroit high, south lake, lakeview and one for grosse pointe south have arrived.  we also have a new football paper captioned "the big house" in that ever familiar maize and blue.  tiger paper, and one that says go wings and another hockeytown :)  they are in the computer and should be out on the floor early tomorrow morning.

on tuesday 11/17 laura is teaching an incredible maya road christmas tree mini album.  she created this book for the maya road booth at the cha summer in orlando and it is spectacular!!!  this one will have all your friends ohhh and ahhhh!

cathy's card tales will be on wednesday 11/18

and helen's christmas atc technique class will be on thursday 11/19.  i have just a peek of 3 of the cards here because she is off traveling again. but she'll be back in time for class.

 

one change already tho:  kates abc's of christmas has been moved to saturday 11/21 because the paper is on backorder from basic grey.  this is a wonderful to document those fun days leading up to christmas and being able to look back in years to come and remember the details that make us smile.

Sunday October 25

Thanks to all of your who joined in my birthday celebration this weekend.  Way to much yummy cake, but if somethings gonna get ya it might as well be chocolate!!

Helen has beautiful Autumn book coming up on Tuesday  that has been moved to a daytime class.  She used Basic Grey gorgeous new Indian Summer line that I'm still drooling over.  If you call me on Sunday I'm pretty sure I can sweet talk her into cutting anohter kit or two.

On Thursday Laura is teaching a Vintage Halloween book called BOO that couldn't be cuter.  She used the Maya Road binder album with the envelope pages.  So Fun and lots of room for pictures

Monday, almost Tuesday 10/19

Wanted to let you know that I just sent a newsletter and coupons out to those of you who are signed up to get them from Constant Contact.  If you're not getting your's they may be being blocked by your Internet Service.  Go to Paper Tales and sign the guestbook, and at the same time add papertales@sbcglobal.net to your address book and it should pop you right into the next rotation.

Classes coming up include Deb's Month 2 Month Page Layout on Thursday.  Saturday (10/24) is Kate's once a year extravaganza and it's another winner:)  If you taken it before you know that she uses it to showcase her travel pictures, but it easily adapts to almost anything.  May favorite part of this album is the sheer number of pictures she figures out how to put into a "mini" album.  I counted space for over 50 pictures if you want to just use 4x6!!!! and more if you do some cropping or wallet size, in a 7x7 album.  Awesome!

monday october 5th

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in Scrap Pink this past weekend!!!   Laura and Mike worked their buns off to get new product in the computer and out on the floor, and to clean up the store.

Thanks to everyone who cropped on Friday and/or Saturday night, I believe everyone had a good time, and if anyone went home hungry it was probably their own choice:)

gonna run out of steam here shortly. put a big dent in the Scrap Pink preparations yesterday and today.

yeah laura, she got all the croppers goody bags packed.  prizes are ready. 

silent auction items are all out and ready for bids.  this is open to everyone...even if you can't or don't crop.  stop at the front counter and pick up a bidding number.  everyone will bid this year with a number instead of their name. 

in our annual silent auction all of the money raised goes to barbara ann karamanos cancer center downtown at the detroit medical center.  karamanos and the dmc are one of the 10 major cancer centers in the country and where i was treated for my breast cancer...more than 11 years ago now!!!!   we auction past class samples, specially made projects from our teachers, scrapbook supplies etc.  i just learned yesterday that caroline and deb from maya road have sent us a package of goodies to add to our auction!!!   THANK YOU MAYA ROAD!!!!! 

for those of you who are new to this.  this weekend is scrap pink at paper tales.  an 8 hour crop on friday, with food, chocolate, beverages, chocolate, food, goody bags, prizes and food.  a 14 hour crop on saturday with food, chocolate, beverages, chocolate, goody bags, prizes, special sales, food.  food is good!!  it's a benefit for breast cancer.    the scrap pink crop was started 3 years ago by scrapbooks etc magazine.  a portion of each days crop fee goes to the susan g komen foundation for breast cancer.  

and then there's the silent auction for some added fun.  you may bid anytime before 10pm on saturday night...october 3rd.  stop in a pick out some great holiday gifts and make a donation to karamanos at the same time.

Rainy Days and Mondays....

always get me down.  or so the song goes.

that being said, it's going to be crazy nuts around here this week with our scrap pink silent auction starting and our crops friday and saturday.  we are full and wait listed for saturday, there are still a couple of spaces for friday from 4pm-midnight.

new things are coming in the door every day now. if you look on facebook, you will see a seek of paper lofts brand new halloween paper.  this is one  of those very small companies that's been around almost since i started scrapping.  they don't release a ton of stuff and we don't buy every time, but every once in a while the hit some real winners!  last winter they did that darling snowman line that sorta, kinda had a charlie brown look.  well they just did 9 halloween papers that are so very charming.  cute scary, with little kids and fun witches and frankenstein etc.  gotta see these.  they also did a really good fall, pumpkin pickin, scarecrow leaves line.  come in a see the page kit laura was just inspired to put together.

great mod christmas from we r memory keepers, with a awesome advent calendar page.  outrageous but so much fun!

and for now, kate add a quick and cute fall paper bag book to the calendar for the 13th of oct using jenni bowlins new town square line.

 

 

 

Thursday 09/17

More new product in today :D  We've a great new company that's doing self adhesive bling and pearls.  Swirls, and lines and frames, oh my!  Couldn't get good pictures cause they are so shiny, but did get a great one of these little wheels of rhinestones.  Now they are not sticky, but they are so very cute, there are also pearls like this, and teeny, tiny flowers...the smallest I've ever seen. 

Jenni Bowlin's new Town Square paper is just wonderful and a shift in color palette that I'm really liking.  Chocolate and Red.  Just look at these.

One last peek tonight for you Christmas card makers, this Imaginesce line is double sided with just a little glitter or shine.

New elementary school papers from Creative Imaginations, Bobunny's Delilah, and few more halloween things, and more still in the boxes.

Indian Summer and Eerie seem to be the two most popular lines of the new Basic Grey right now, then again Eskimo Kisses is getting picked up by those of you who have started to think about your Christmas cards.  All 3 of these paper lines are winners!

A box came in from Creative Imaginations today with a mix of things in it.  a little Halloween and fall, a little Christmas, a little school....

We are expecting a package from a new Canadian company called ZVA that's makes some really fun self adhesive bling and pearls, and an order from BoBunny.  I think the Delilah line.
